A grandma taught sewer turned fiber artist looking to spread some love and acceptance through her fibery creations!

Added a class at @freak_n_art_bend on Monday February 9th! Learn to appliqué a heart! Use it to cover a hole in your favorite jeans or add one on your go to shirt for some extra fun! On November 24th I came across a post requesting some help on completing an antique quilt. On the Eve of Christmas 10 year old Chelsea would like to remind all the gift givers out there that if someone in your life, young or old, wants something you may think is silly, like a sewing machine, I encourage you to ignore that hesitation and give them that gift. It may just be something they will still use as a 30 year old, the thing that helped aid a forever special bond with their grandma, and become their absolute passion! As a creative I turn to my craft in times of distress as a way to work through. Losing my grandma was no different. I turned to my fabric for comfort to make this piece, “Grandma’s Garden” My Kaleidoscope quilt was created in a time of uncertainty, and worry. It’s three years old now but with losing grandma recently, it feels even more special. I was enjoying some lunch break sewing in the staff room yesterday and I got a little too comfy. Thanks to the wife/coworker who called me out and took them out before I got caught! 😬🤦🏼🤪 A month ago today I lost my beloved grandma. She taught me to love unconditionally, support without hesitation, and the skill of sewing. I created a quilt that was inspired by @zakfoster.quilts reel about the need to “Gather”!Read the details on my substack. Exciting event!!
